The CENTER OF EXCELLENCE training camp provides an intensive week of education and training for the committed soccer player, providing new initiatives and ideas that set these camps apart from the old traditional camps that have run on the same formats for decades. Specialist programs are available for individual players, teams and Goalkeepers as follows:

GOALKEEPER TRAINING

Goalkeeping is viewed by the CENTER OF EXCELLENCE as a specialized position which requires expert coaching. Our collegiate and professional goalkeeping coaches provide:

Intensive individual drills
Game related drills
In game positional and tactical coaching.
Physiological Training.

UNIQUE TEAM OPPORTUNITY

Attending teams wi11 experience three fu11y officiated games versus local C.Y.S.A. opponents of equivalent age and ability level. Games will be played in floodlit UCSB NCAA Harder stadium. Games are taped for analysis. This is a unique bonding experience for players.

This is is ideal pre-season preparation for up-coming Labor Day tournaments and Fall league season.

The CENTER OF EXCELLENCE has chosen to hold its residential soccer program at the prestigious UCSB campus. The expansive manicured athletic fields, NCAA standard floodlit stadium and perfect climate provide the perfect setting for an intensive week of soccer. The closely located beach provides an excellent alternative for conditioning and five-a-side games.

Players are housed at the FONTAINEBLEU student apartments which are located a mere 50 yards from the fields. Here, first class suites surround a heated pool, recreation room, TV lounge and dining hall. The hall provides three well balanced, nutritious meals a day.

All players attending will receive:

*Round trip bus transportation to and from West LA ($95)

Male and female counselors provide 24 hour supervision, qualified first aid and entertainment throughout the week. Campers enjoyment does not end on the soccer field as the evening activities include camp fires, movie nights, karaoke night and the eagerly anticipated camp dance.

The FONTAINEBLEU apartments are located at the entrance to the UCSB campus which is 95 miles north of Los Angeles.

For those not taking the bus from West LA,
Direction to Fontainebleu Apartment Complex (From Los Angeles)
(Sign in on Sunday between 2- 4pm.)

Take 101 Freeway North. Exit on Los Carneros Turn Left at top of ramp.
Take Los Carneros to T- Junction. Turn Left on El Collegio Rd.
Fontainebleu apartment buildings are the last buildings on the right before the entrance to the UCSB campus.

Parking is in the rear of the building. Turn right before the apartment complex and then take the first street on the left. The parking lot will be on your left.

Pick Up Information:

Presentation games and award ceremonies will occur between 10 - 12 noon on Friday. As soon as these are completed, campers are free to collect their possessions and leave.
